Amboseli National Park, located in southern Kenya and is Kenya’s second-most popular park after the Masai Mara, and one of Africa’s finest drawing visitors with its iconic backdrop of Mt.Kilimanjaro which it is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing
mountain above sea level in the world, at 5,895 m (19,341 ft) above sea level and 4,900 m (16,100 ft) above its plateau base. Amboseli covers 392 square kilometers (151 square miles), boasts some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa.
Amboseli is so famous because of its large herds of elephants with big tusks that are oftened photographed with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. Its ecosystem covers dry lakes, natural swamps and acacia dotted plains. Swamps attracts massive birdlife among other big game throughout the year. Lion population and cheetah population has been growing over the time both in the Main Park and in private conservancies bordering the Park
Our Safari Guides
Zebra Plains Safari guides are very experienced and knowledgeable in their field of guiding. They have several years in safari guiding and some in Camp Management and their passion with what they do is evident on the guests experiences with them where they very
frequently get requested very often by our repeat guests and their referrals to guide them once again.
They are certified by Kenya’s guiding organisation known as Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA) after qualifying their guiding examinations and they are either Bronze, Silver Level or Gold Level or with Diploma Level in safari guiding from a reputable Tourism, Wildlife and Hospitality College in Kenya. They have been guiding in Kenya for several years and know Amboseli’s ecosystem very well. Their driving skills are excellent and positioning of the vehicles to get you that excellent photo is what they know the best with respect of the animal’s comfort zone and yours as well.

Our Safari Vehicles
Zebra Plains’ safari vehicles are specially customised for game drives, featuring reinforced suspension systems designed for African safari terrains and high ground clearance. This ensures a smooth, comfortable, and reliable experience while exploring our locations.
We use 4×4 safari Land Cruisers for all safaris, equipped with the following features:
