Our Guests will always ask us on what will their stay and safaris in Mara looks like and below is an example of 3 nights safari itinerary. We can always customize one based on your number of nights of stay with us and activities that you may want to experience.
Day 1 - Nairobi To Maasai Mara
Our Nairobi representative or your preferred Agent’s representative will pick you up from your City Hotel of choice or will receive you upon arrival at Nairobi JKIA Airport and transfer you to Maasai Mara Park by road or to Wilson Airport for flight to Maasai Mara.
(It is 45 Minutes by Air to Maasai Mara Most flights leave at 10am or 3pm for Mara and by road it will be approximately 5 Hours to get to the camp)
Arrive in Mara Olkiombo Airstrip, Safari enroute to the camp and arrive at the camp to check in for lunch.
After Afternoon Tea you leave the camp for afternoon safari and be back to the camp just before darkness.
After safari you will enjoy your evening by the camp fire before dinner, you will then have dinner and overnight at one of our camps.
Day 2 – Maasai Mara
On this day you will have two safaris, one in the morning and another one late in the afternoon.
Wake up call at 5:15am have tea or coffee and start your safari at 6am looking for cats as they are very active in coolers hours of the morning and by 9am your guide will stop for breakfast under a shade or along Mara River/Talek River for picnic/Bush breakfast.
After your bush/picnic breakfast you will head to Maasai Village for Cultural tour. The tour will be on for an hour to an hour 30 Minutes.
You will head back to the camp for lunch and after lunch you will have afternoon rest. In between you may choose to have massage or swim if you are staying at Zebra River Camp or as well you may come Swim at River Camp from Little Zebra as they are both close to each other.
Your afternoon safaris start after high tea and head out on a thrilling afternoon safari as you look for what you will not have seen on your two days safari and as the day comes to end you will proceed to the camp for African bush stories at our campfire.
Dinner will be served under open African skies (weather permitting), overnight at the camp.
Day 3 - Maasai Mara
On this day you will have an option of experiencing Maasai Mara up in the Air on a Hot Air Balloon. This memorable experience will start very early in the Morning leaving the camp at 5am for a balloon take of site 20-30 minutes of drive depending on your camp of stay.
Hot Air Balloons take off at dawn just before sunrise, and after approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of exploring Mara in the Air your ballon will land and the crew will drive you to a bush breakfast site for a lively champagne breakfast.
After breakfast you will have safari enroute to the camp. Lunch at the camp and relax before afternoon safari.
Afternoon safari starts at 3:30pm after high tea. Your guide will lead you to explore the beauty of the Mara until around 6pm when he will stop for a sundowner.
Sundowners are happy hours during sunset as you watch over Maasai Mara’s open plains. After your 3 days of safaris with us we round it up in style with refreshing Alcoholic and non-Alcoholic drinks, our team and your guide will host you and share beautiful African sunset stories and as the darkness sets in and the sounds of the night active animals comes into live, we head back to the camp.
You will then have dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4- Maasai Mara
This will be your last day in the Mara and if you are leaving Mara in the morning by road or with morning flight you will have breakfast served in the camp and check out for Mara Olkiombo Airstrip for flights to Nairobi or by road to your next destination.
If your flight is in the Afternoon, you will have an option of leaving for 3 hours drive and back for breakfast or choose to relax at the camp until when lunch is served.
After lunch you will then proceed to Olkiombo Airstrip for flights to Nairobi or by road to your next destination.
When in Nairobi our representative your preferred Agent’s rep will meet you for transfer to your hotel or International Airport.
FOR LONGER STAYS-DAY 5/6 - MAASAI MARA.
On your longer stays you will have time to enjoy other activities that we offer and even to explore the expansive Maasai Mara. Some of the activities that you still choose to enjoy are;
