Zebra Plains Collection operates two safari camps in the two premier safari parks in East Africa and we are recommending the following itinerary (Minimum stay) for those who are looking for the best of once in a life time safari experience. We are however flexible to book you as per your wishes to either one of our camps without combining or even more nights mostly for photographers where we recommend 3 Nights in Amboseli and 6 Nights in Maasai Mara.

Please see below 5 Nights (Two Nights Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp, Three Nights Zebra Plains Mara Camp) of Safari with us by Air Starting from and finishing in Nairobi which it is the capital Capital City of Kenya.

Day 1

Pick up from your City Hotel or Main Airport (JKIA) and transfer to Wilson Airport for 8:15 am flight to Amboseli. Arrive in Amboseli National Park at around 9:00am.
You will be met by one of our Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp professional safari guide who will check you into the park and then proceed for safari.
s soon as you leave airstrip you will be amazed by the amount of wildlife around Lake Amboseli, several species of water birds, Hippos, Zebras, Big herds of elephants, Spotted Hyenas, Giraffes, several species of antelopes and if lucky you will spot Cheetahs and lions before you check in to the camp.
Your guide will lead your safari enroute to the camp and check in for lunch at around 12:30pm.
After checking in to our luxury tented camp with the best views of the world’s highest free standing Mountain (Mt. Kilimanjaro), You will be shown your ensuite luxury tented room.
Lunch will be served, relax in your room or main area and then afternoon Safari starts between 3:30pm and 4:00pm just after your cup of tea/coffee with some snacks.
Head out into the swamps of Amboseli looking for the famous big tuskers and herds of elephants among other big game such as the prides of lions in the park and cheetahs. Amboseli is home to best photographic opportunities with the dust creating some unique images during dry season or even capturing your wildlife with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background.
Back to the camp at around 7:00 Pm. You will either freshen up or go straight and enjoy evening Bonfire with our hosts serving you your favorite drink. Enjoy African Bush stories from our Safari guides before dinner.
You will plan for the next day with your safari guide just before dinner.
Dinner is served anytime when you are ready. After dinner you will head to your room and enjoy our warm and comfortable rooms.

Day 2

Wake up call is given to you on request depending on your plan for the day. You will as well choose to have a cup of coffee /tea/hot chocolate in the room before breakfast or choose to have with your breakfast in the main area.
ption one of your day will be to head out on safari from 6:30 am with picnic breakfast to have in the Park then come back to the camp for lunch or Leave the camp at 7:30 am after breakfast for safari and go with your picnic lunch and come back to the camp at around 3:00 pm.
In the evening at around 5:00pm, (in case you will be in the camp) we will recommend a walking safari with Maasai warriors, you will head out exploring the beautiful Amboseli Ecosystem. This is the best way of getting closer to nature and learning more about our African bush.
After your walking safari you will freshen up and join your guide or any of our host or other guests at our Comfy lounges, well stocked bar or Bonfire for evening bush stories with our hosts or your guides.
You will be briefed by your guide on the following day’s plan.
Delicious dinner is served. After dinner you will spend your time at our main area or head straight to your room.
Overnight at Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp.

Day 3

Wake Up Call at 6:00am, Have Breakfast and leave the camp latest 7:30am for Airstrip
Depart Amboseli Airstrip at around 9:00am for flight to Maasai Mara connecting through Nairobi.
You will arrive at Olkiombo Airstrip in Maasai Mara and you will be met by one of our Zebra Plains Mara Camp’s guide who will check you in to Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
You will be in the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to the famous Annual wildebeest Migration of over 2 million individuals and paradise to big population of big cats such as lions, cheetahs and Leopards.
Safari enroute to the camp looking for the big cats, Giraffes, Zebras, Hyenas, Wildebeests, Zebras, Hippos among other big games. You will be amazed by the open plains of the Maasai Mara.
You will check into luxurious Zebra Plains Mara Camp and after briefing you will be shown your luxury tented room.
Lunch is served at our open restaurant overlooking the open plains of the Maasai Mara.
After lunch you will relax at our comfy main area or at your room.
You will start your afternoon safari at around 3:30 or 4:00 pm. You will explore the magic of Maasai Mara and your guide will lead you into one of prides of lions that resides closer to the camp, spend your time with them as you look for other wildlife like leopards, Hyenas and hippos. There is a lot to realise in the first safari.
Back to the camp at around 7:00pm where you will head to your room to freshen up or head straight into one of our beautiful Bonfires or lounges for evening drinks as you share safari stories with one of our hosts or guides.
Dinner is served and after dinner you will spend your night at our lovely tents. At night in most cases you will be able to hear a lot of wildlife mostly lions and Hyenas making their calls as they contact each other, fight or hunt. It is life-changing experience.

Day 4

Wake up Call at around 5:30 am with a cup of coffee/tea or hot chocolate. You will meet your guide at around 6:15 am for early Morning Safari with picnic breakfast. Your safari guide will explore deep into the Mara looking for a lot of wildlife actions, your chances of spotting lions, cheetahs and leopards walking, playing or hunting are very high. These cats are very active early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
At a round 9:00am you will stop at a beautiful private spot where our guide will serve you breakfast. After picnic breakfast you will continue with your safari until around 11:30am and then visit the local tribe, the famous Maasai People. The cultural visit to Maasai Village is optional but recommended as you will get to learn a lot about their culture and their co-existence with the wildlife.
Back to the Camp for lunch at around 1:00pm. After lunch with the open views of the plains of the Mara you will head into your room to relax.
Afternoon safari starts at 3:30 pm and at around 6pm, our guide will lead you into a beautiful all-inclusive sundowner spot. Enjoy this beautiful hour with your loved ones, family or friends as you watch the sun go down.
Back to the camp at around 7:00pm for evening special moments and dinner.
Dinner is served and overnight at our beautiful Camp.

Day 5

Wake Up Call at 5:30 am with coffee/tea or hot chocolate and head out on safari exploring different beautiful parts of the Mara with picnic breakfast into the swamps or one of the rivers in the Mara. You will spend your day looking for what you have not spotted yet. This safari will be a bit longer and you will head back to the camp for lunch at around 1:30pm or 2pm for lunch.
After lunch you will have complimentary Massage treatment for 45 Minutes or a walking safari and thereafter enjoy beautiful sunsets from the camp with our all-inclusive drinks. Also good to know that we will give you option to choose on the activity to take in the afternoon, Safari drives, Spa treatments or Walking Safari.
Your evening continues at the camp and together with your host or guide you share all the bush moments and plan your next day.
Your last dinner is served under African Stars (Weather permitting). It will be special moments to cherish.
Overnight at our luxurious Zebra Plains Mara Camp.

Day 6

You will choose to have a short safari then breakfast at the camp by 8:30am and proceed to Airstrip at 9:30am for 10:30am flight to Nairobi or Breakfast at 7:00am then safari enroute to Airstrip for flight to Nairobi.
You will be in Nairobi latest 12:00pm.
Your safari ends here and you will leave back home with a lot of memories to share for the rest of your life with your family and friends.
